Meet the Panel
Iain McIlwee, FIS – CEO of Finishes & Interior Sector (FIS) trade body, Iain is passionate about the industry embracing the digital revolution for standardisation of processes and improved collaboration. FIS recently launched the Digital Spine, a tool to help members understand construction technologies.
Bill Bordill, Decipher Consulting – Bill is a quantum expert and dispute resolver, as well as a construction adjudicator working under the Construction Act. Experienced and qualified in matters relating to commercial project control, contracts and disputes, he brings industry insight gained over three decades in senior positions, with both contractor and consultant organisations. Bill is the discipline lead for quantity surveying within Decipher Consulting, dealing with issues on live projects.
Kevin P’ng, BW – Having worked as a Subcontractor for a few years, Kevin made the transition to main contracting and fit-out just under 9 years ago and has grown with BW rising from an Assistant to Commercial Director. BW is no ordinary interior fit-out business; specialising in the fast-paced London workplace market, they have grown from strength to strength over the last 20 years to a turnover of £200m. Key to this has been their constant drive to push the boundaries of innovation and collaboration, which for them means deploying the right methodologies, technology and resource in the most creative and efficient means possible.
Angus McAlpine, Payapps – Angus is Head of UK Partnerships for Payapps, an online software solution that standardises and simplifies the end-to-end payment management of construction applications for payment, variations and document compliance. Angus has a background in Quantity Surveying having studied the craft at university and to practising the profession at Gleeds.
